Il registratore può essere utilizzato per catturare lo schermo intero, o una regione selezionata, o una finestra.

Con DawnArk Screen Recorder, è possibile registrare ore di schermo per mostrare agli altri come utilizzare un software o un sito web (molto utile per preparare demo, guide e video tutorial).  Il programma ha anche il supporto dei tasti di scelta rapida per consentire un lavoro più semplice e veloce.
